Exploring the Captivating World of K-Dramas

Lately, people have been going ga-ga over Korean content be it a series on OTT or songs. BTS and BlackPink are well known bands that people have been madly following since a very long time and forming armies that represent the band. Similarly Korean Drama Series aka K-Drama, is something people are becoming fond of once they start with one show.

After watching a lot of Kdrama I am obsessed over it. I have watched more then 30 dramas in this year.

Following are some series that I watched and would recommend that will make you addicted –

1. Business Proposal –

One of my favourite K-Drama is ‘Business Proposal’ which has also a manhwa. This series is adopted
from the manhwa business proposal. The main lead is Kang Tae Moo, the CEO of Bibigo, a very famous Korean food company. The female lead is Shin Hari, eldest daughter of her family. Her best friend Jin young-seo put her in a akward situation by placing Shin Hari as Jin young-seo on a blind date. Accidentally the date was Kang Tae Moo who was hansome as well as rich. Then after lots of turning and twisting they both ended up dating each other. On the other hand, her best friend fell in love with Kang Tae moo's secretary cha sung woon fell in love.

2. Heartbeat –

Another Kdrama I really liked was heartbeat. A vampire who fell in love with a human woman and that woman sacrificed herself for him. She promised that she will come back to him. To get her back, the vampire tried to be a human from that moment. Vampires are immortal so to die with his lover he chose to be a human. After trying a lot of process of being a human, at last vampire came to know that he will be a human after spending 100 years in a coffin. He stayed there for 99 years and 364 days. One day before his transformation, a woman named Joo In-Hae opened the coffin and the vampire Sun Woo-Hyeol became half vampire. To be a full human he had to suck Joo in Hae's blood. By the time he knew that he fell in love with Joo in Hae and after testing her blood he confirmed she is her past lover who died to save him. Woo-hyeol couldn't live without sucking her blood so he decided to die. On the other hand, Joo in Hae would kill herself to save him. But at last she couldn't save both of them and Woo Hyeol died. Though it has a tragic ending but the story touched everyone's heart.

3. Doom at your service –

Recently I watched a K-drama named ‘Doom at your Service’. The female lead Tak Dong Kyong is a web novel editor. She was in a very bad mood when her boyfriend’s secret came out. Her boyfriend was actually married and his wife humiliated her in public. After that in doctor’s chamber, she came to know that she has glioblastoma and have three months left. It made her so frustrated that she called for a doom in the real world. The doom whom she named Myul Mang, came to her and gave her a condition that she can sacrifice her most loved one for her own life. As she thought doom aka Myul Mang is a bad soul she tried to love him in these three months before dying so that she doesn’t have to die. After that she actually fell in love with him and soon, she found out Myul Mang is not bad he has a bad aura but without bad things, the happiness in good things never came to human. Then she tried not to love him but she couldn't hate him. He also wanted to sacrifice himself for her. At last, on the last day of her, he sacrificed himself for her. God, watching all these, decided to help them and send myul mang in world as a human for Tak Dong Kyung. They happily married after that.

These were some best K-Drama series that I’ve liked over since I started. Once you start there’s no going back and I won’t blame anyone since the content is addictive. As years pass there will be better series and better story.
